Michael A. Jackson, President
I was a candidate for the 2004 California State Senate, District 27 in the Republican Primary. Throughout my campaign a common complaint I heard was that people did not know which judges to vote for and were unsure what the ballot measures would actually do.
I was new to running for political office, ran a grassroots campaign, and received over 47% of the vote! My wife and I learned so much during that campaign, and even though we did not make it through the primary, we wanted to continue to help alleviate some of the problems we were made aware of . . . Government for the People was our answer!
On October 7th 2003, we made a change in the course of California. We must continue making changes to get California on the right track. I have already filed the initial paperwork to run for California State Assembly, District 54 in 2006.
About Me

About Me
I am 51 years old. I was born in East Los Angeles and raised in the Pico-Union District of downtown Los Angeles. I have spent almost my entire life in Southern California. I taught ballroom dancing for twelve years and competed professionally for five years. I have been a small business owner and an independent contractor.
I cared for my mother for five years through her battle with heart disease and diabetes. In her last year she required full time care, so I closed my business. After my mothers passing I started my life over again. I took computer classes, worked as an Office Manager, and then, met my wonderful husband.
I am very fortunate at this time in my life to be the mother of two lively children and be a stay at home mom. I am an active member of the PTA, an alternate on the School Site Committee and a volunteer at my children's school. I want to make sure our children have the best foundation we can give them to lead happy, successful and productive lives.
I have learned a lot about politics and our government. I became a very active partner in my husbands political race because I believe what he is doing is extremely important. I am very concerned that honesty, work ethics, and fiscal responsibility are no longer recognizable in our government.
Education
I graduated from BelmontHigh School in 1974 and attended UCLA for a short time.
In 1988 I earned an Associate in American Ballroom & Latin dancing with the Terpsichore Association. In 1996 I completed training as the Site Coordinator for the Crisis Management Team at Disney Interactive in Glendale.
Hobbies
I enjoy spending time with my children, reading, music, dancing, sewing, watching football. One of my projects is researching and putting together our family history to pass on to our children. I have been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a non-profit educational association, for 14 years, and also recently, completed a four year term as the co-chair of the local South Bay Chapter.
